WOODGROVE MALL LIGHTING PROJECT

Woodgrove Mall in Nanaimo, BC recently upgraded its parking lot lighting. This facility offered an exciting lighting challenge utilizing existing concrete poles and adding new towers.
One of the important design criteria was minimizing the light trespass from the lighting towers. Keene WideLite’s Aktra Series of cut-off lighting units was selected for its excellent performance in this application. Special brackets were manufacturered by West Coast Engineering Group along with the new steel 80 ft. towers.

The Keene WideLite Classics Post Top units were used for the smaller parking areas.
The pedestrian lighting was supplied by Hadco Lighting. By using the Eclipse Series the designers were able to maintain a controlled lighting system, providing safe sidewalk lighting for the customers.
Traditional or decorative street lighting is also a beautiful way to light roadways and pedestrian walkways. These fixtures are used in Bastion Square in Victoria to provide a traditional, heritage look to the area.
